Burwood Public School has proudly been selected as a Centre of Excellence in 2010. It is a well established school that has been providing quality education to the inner west community since 1871. We have approximately 655 students from a diverse community of 45 cultural and linguistic groups including international students. The school is supported by an active Parents and Citizen Association. Our experienced dedicated teachers provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Our core business of Literacy and Numeracy is supported by strong welfare programs. Students are challenged through quality and successful teaching programs and are encouraged to become independent learners and confident users of technology. Burwood is the first primary school in Australia to introduce, "The Habits of Highly Effective People" to our students. The school caters for student learning needs through programs as gifted and talented, early intervention, learning and Hearing support.
